Important. dadokim grounding cards are not medical care, therapy, diagnosis, or counseling. If you need medical help, reach out right away: contact your local emergency number, see a doctor, or find a free crisis line in your country at findahelpline.com. (In Korea: 119 emergency · 109 suicide prevention · 1577-0199 mental health.)
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms set out the conditions, procedures, rights, obligations, and responsibilities for using the dadokim grounding card service (the “Service”) provided by dadokim (the “Company”).
Article 2 (Definitions)
- “User”: anyone who accesses and uses the Service (anonymous by default · optional account linking).
- “Card”: a piece of comforting, self-affirming content generated by an LLM or served from a beta seed card (LLM-model-generated content included).
- “Credit”: the unit equal to one card · one free card per day (resets at midnight KST) · paid credits do not expire.
- “Card pack (10/30/100 credits)”: a bundle of credits bought as a one-time purchase (no expiration date).
- “Gift card”: a one-time gift link that sends card-pack credits to a friend.
- “★Pin”: saving a card you received to My cards (paid users · kept until you delete it).
- “Magic link”: email-based recovery on another device (passwordless · valid for 15 minutes).
- “Card share link”: a link that shows the exact card a User received, without the line they wrote (no credit reward).
Article 2-2 (Eligibility · Age (Personal Information Protection Act §22-2))
- The Service is available only to people 14 years of age or older.
- Children under 14 need the consent of a legal guardian. The Service does not currently offer a separate consent process, so they cannot use it.
- Before your first free-text entry, you’ll be asked to confirm that you are 14 or older. Responsibility for a false confirmation rests with the User or their legal guardian.
- Because the Service deals with crisis signals such as suicide and self-harm, we apply the age requirement strictly to protect minors.
Article 3 (What the Service provides)
The Company provides the following:
- Generating a comforting, self-affirming card based on a single line of free text.
- A 4-level safety classification (Safety Router).
- Card-pack and gift-card purchase products.
- Sending and sharing a card with a friend.
Article 4 (What the Company does not provide)
- Medical diagnosis, treatment, or prescription
- Psychological counseling or psychiatric care
- Medication recommendations or advice to stop medication
- Crisis intervention (we provide emergency guidance only)
Article 5 (LLM model use disclosure under applicable law)
The Service uses a generative LLM model in the card-generation process. The Company maintains an LLM model self-assessment memo and updates it once per quarter. You can object to a card output by using the “This card isn’t right” button on the card result screen, or by email.
Article 6 (Credit payments · Refunds)
In the iOS app, card packs (10/30/100 credits) and gift cards are processed only through Apple In-App Purchase. The same products in the Android app are processed only through Google Play Billing. Neither app includes external payment links or instructions to bypass its platform store. Web checkout is not currently offered.
Credit validity:
- Paid credits: no expiration date · unused balances do not expire automatically.
- Previously issued referral bonus credits: no expiration date. New referral rewards are not currently offered.
- Free credit (1/day): expires automatically at midnight KST · does not accumulate.
Refund policy (E-commerce Act §17):
- For iOS app purchases, Apple decides and schedules refunds through its own refund process.
- For Android app purchases, Google Play decides and schedules refunds through its own refund process.
- Past web purchases remain governed by the terms in effect at purchase and applicable law. Ending web checkout does not limit rights that already arose.
- Apple refund-review consumption data is sent only after separate optional consent and includes the consent flag (customerConsented), delivery status, consumption percentage, whether free samples or functionality information were provided before purchase (sampleContentProvided), and our refund preference. Declining does not restrict purchases or refund requests.
Withdrawal for gift cards (E-commerce Act §17):
- Gift credits are considered delivered when the recipient completes redemption, after which the right of withdrawal is limited.
- Unredeemed gifts can be refunded under the policy above; once refunded, the gift link becomes unusable.
- If a refund is approved, credits granted to the recipient may be reclaimed.
- Gift recipients are not a party to the payment and therefore have no separate refund claim.
Advance notice for recurring billing (E-commerce Act §22 · recurring-payment obligations):
- Auto-renewing subscriptions are not currently sold in the iOS or Android app.
- If we launch an auto-renewing product later, price, renewal period, cancellation method, and required advance notices will be shown before purchase.
- Price changes: 30 days’ notice by email and in-app · the existing price stays in effect for current users until they consent.
Article 7 (User obligations)
Users must not do the following:
- Write or share content that harms others.
- Bypass the free limit by working around Service restrictions or using automation tools.
- Commercially copy or redistribute card content without authorization.
- Infringe the rights of the Company or any third party.
- Enter sensitive information such as real names, phone numbers, national ID numbers, or bank accounts into the free-text field (an automatic warning modal is shown).
- Abuse the referral system (self-referral · multiple accounts · bots).
Violations may result in suspension of your account or credits. If suspended, unused credits are refunded pro rata under the refund policy (except for malicious violations).
Article 7-1 (Gift messages · Reporting · Blocking)
- Gift messages must not contain abuse, hate, threats, harassment, or another person's name, phone number, email, messaging ID, or other contact or personal information.
- Recipients can report a message and block its sender in the app.
- After review, the Company may hide or remove a message and restrict or suspend messaging or the account for repeated or serious violations.
- Reporting or blocking affects message visibility and moderation only. It does not automatically cancel or refund a paid gift or granted credits. Refunds follow Article 6 and the applicable store process.

Article 7-2 (Sharing a card)
- A share link displays the card the User saw. It does not include the free-text line the User wrote.
- The link remains valid for 14 days. Once it expires or is revoked, the card preview is no longer available.
- Shared card links do not currently carry a referral credit reward.
Article 8 (Safety classification · Crisis guidance)
The Service automatically detects signals of suicide, self-harm, and crisis in Korean and English, blocks card generation, and provides emergency guidance: free crisis lines via findahelpline.com and your local emergency number (in Korea: 109 · 119 · 1577-0199). This is non-medical safety guidance, not medical diagnosis or treatment.
Article 9 (Personal data · Email · Recovery)
Personal data is handled under our separate Privacy Policy.
- Anonymous use is the default. Apple, Google, or email account linking is optional.
- Apple issues receipts for iOS purchases, and Google Play issues receipts for Android purchases. The Company does not collect your email merely because you made an in-app purchase.
- Email may be used when you choose account linking, contact support, or receive notices about a past transaction. A linked account lets you continue with your cards, credits, and ★pins on another device.
- You can unsubscribe from emails · however, payment receipts and refund-processing messages are still sent as part of the transaction relationship.
Article 9-2 (Content retention · Storage policy)
- Your single line of free text: transferred abroad to an LLM model provider to generate the card. dadokim stores neither the original nor its hash after the API response. The provider may retain it for up to 30 days under its API policy, subject to policy-enforcement or legal exceptions.
- Received-card metadata (LLM / beta card output): 7 days for free users · the 30 most recent for paid users (FIFO).
- ★Pinned cards: for paid users · kept until you delete them · deletable anytime.
- Remembered card memories (optional): 30-day TTL · extendable by 30 days · deletable immediately.
- Your one-line card reply (optional): 30-day TTL · stored only with your micro-consent.
Article 10 (Limitation of liability)
The Company is not responsible for the following:
- The medical or psychological effects of card content.
- Medical or psychological outcomes arising from use of the Service.
- Outages of third-party services (such as the payment processor, the LLM API provider, the database host, and the web host).
- Damage caused by the User’s own carelessness.
However, the Company remains liable under applicable law for damage caused by its own willful misconduct or gross negligence.
