Article 1 (Purpose)
Article 2 (Definitions)
- “User”: anyone who accesses and uses the Service (no sign-up · anonymous).
- “Card”: a piece of comforting, self-affirming content generated by an LLM or served from a beta seed card (AI-generated content included).
- “Credit”: the unit equal to one card · one free card per day (resets at midnight KST) · paid credits valid for 5 years.
- “Card pack (10/30/100 credits)”: a bundle of credits bought as a one-time purchase (valid for 5 years).
- “Monthly plan (Unlimited/Plus)”: a recurring monthly charge that auto-tops up N credits (cancelable).
- “★Pin”: saving a card you received to My cards (paid users · kept until you delete it).
- “Magic link”: email-based recovery on another device (passwordless · valid for 15 minutes).
- “Referral”: a friend-invite link (one generation only · daily cap of 3 · rewarded in credits).
Article 2-2 (Eligibility · Age (Personal Information Protection Act §22-2))
- The Service is available only to people 14 years of age or older.
- Children under 14 need the consent of a legal guardian. The Service does not currently offer a separate consent process, so they cannot use it.
- Before your first free-text entry, you’ll be asked to confirm that you are 14 or older. Responsibility for a false confirmation rests with the User or their legal guardian.
- Because the Service deals with crisis signals such as suicide and self-harm, we apply the age requirement strictly to protect minors.
Article 3 (What the Service provides)
The Company provides the following:
- Generating a comforting, self-affirming card based on a single line of free text.
- A 4-level safety classification (Safety Router).
- Card packs, monthly plans, and Plus payment products.
- Sending and sharing a card with a friend.
Article 4 (What the Company does not provide)
- Medical diagnosis, treatment, or prescription
- Psychological counseling or psychiatric care
- Medication recommendations or advice to stop medication
- Crisis intervention (we provide emergency guidance only)
Article 5 (AI use disclosure (AI Framework Act §20))
Article 6 (Credit payments · Refunds)
Card packs (10/30/100 credits · $1.90–$12.90) and monthly plans (Unlimited $4.90 · Plus $6.90) are processed through Polar Software, Inc. (United States, Delaware · Merchant of Record).
Credit validity:
- Paid credits: 5 years from the date of purchase · any unused balance expires automatically once that period passes.
- Referral bonus credits: 5 years from the date they were earned.
- Free credit (1/day): expires automatically at midnight KST · does not accumulate.
Refund policy (E-commerce Act §17):
- Pro-rated refund of unused credits (e.g., 10 credits at $1.90 → 3 used → 7 credits × $0.19 = $1.33 refunded).
- Used credits (digital content already delivered) are non-refundable (clearly disclosed before payment).
- Processed within 3 business days of the request (to the original payment method).
- Monthly plan: cancel at least 1 day before your next billing date and you won’t be charged again · you keep this month’s credits.
- Unused subscription credits: still valid for 5 years after cancellation (canceling does not bring forward the expiry).
Advance notice for recurring billing (E-commerce Act §22 · recurring-payment obligations):
- Monthly plans are still in the works and not yet available for purchase (only one-time card packs are offered). The conditions below apply once monthly plans launch.
- Monthly plans are charged automatically on the same day each month (Unlimited $4.90 · Plus $6.90).
- An email notice of the upcoming charge is sent 7 days before the next billing date (using Polar’s own notifications · includes a subject line, the amount, and a cancellation link). Our own cron reminder will be enabled when Phase 1 operations begin.
- Price changes: 30 days’ notice by email and in-app · the existing price stays in effect for current users until they consent.
- Cancellation: from My cards or via KakaoTalk · processed immediately · the next charge stops right away.
- Unused credits remain valid for 5 years even after cancellation.
Article 7 (User obligations)
- Write or share content that harms others.
- Bypass the free limit by working around Service restrictions or using automation tools.
- Commercially copy or redistribute card content without authorization.
- Infringe the rights of the Company or any third party.
- Enter sensitive information such as real names, phone numbers, national ID numbers, or bank accounts into the free-text field (an automatic warning modal is shown).
- Abuse the referral system (self-referral · multiple accounts · bots).
Violations may result in suspension of your account or credits. If suspended, unused credits are refunded pro rata under the refund policy (except for malicious violations).
Article 7-2 (Referral (inviting friends))
- Rewards for one generation only (A invites B → both get +1 credit). No rewards for second-generation referrals or beyond.
- Credited when your friend arrives through your link and completes one card (staying at least 5 seconds).
- Credited for up to 3 cards per day.
- No conversion to cash or gift cards · service credits only.
- Grounds for refusing a reward: referring yourself from another browser · multiple rewards from the same IP · automation tools.
Article 8 (Safety classification · Crisis guidance)
Article 9 (Personal data · Email · Recovery)
Personal data is handled under our separate Privacy Policy.
- Anonymous use is the default · no sign-up form · no password.
- Paid users provide an email at checkout · the email is used to send your receipt and a magic link for recovery on another device.
- After verifying your email, you can recover your cards, credits, and ★pins on another device (magic link valid for 15 minutes).
- You can unsubscribe from emails · however, payment receipts and refund-processing messages are still sent as part of the transaction relationship.
Article 9-2 (Content retention · Storage policy)
- Your single line of free text: sent to an LLM API provider (US) to generate the card, then discarded immediately · not stored.
- Received-card metadata (LLM / beta card output): 7 days for free users · the 30 most recent for paid users (FIFO).
- ★Pinned cards: for paid users · kept until you delete them · deletable anytime.
- Remembered card memories (optional): 30-day TTL · extendable by 30 days · deletable immediately.
- Your one-line card reply (optional): 30-day TTL · stored only with your micro-consent.
Article 10 (Limitation of liability)
- The medical or psychological effects of card content.
- Medical or psychological outcomes arising from use of the Service.
- Outages of third-party services (such as the payment processor, the LLM API provider, the database host, and the web host).
- Damage caused by the User’s own carelessness.
However, the Company remains liable under applicable law for damage caused by its own willful misconduct or gross negligence.
